Kat is a classically trained, European-born, NYC-based Art Director/Designer with a great eye for refined, aesthetic artistry. She honed her craft under the guidance of the legendary Fabien Baron at his NYC studio Baron and Baron, where her passion for sophisticated, minimalist design and the power of impactful branding was ignited. She gained an exquisitely detailed eye for typography studying under Ed Benguiat, an industry giant who designed over 600 fonts and logotypes for the NY Times, Esquire, Coke, Macy’s and Estée Lauder.
Kat cut her teeth at the Tobe Report, one of the retail industry’s leading trend-forecasting fashion authorities. In less than a year, Kat was promoted to Art Director and given the challenging task of modernizing and elevating the company’s visual identity. She partnered with the Executive Vice President to concept, develop and execute all elements of the corporate re-brand — including corporate identity, all publications, web and marketing collateral. Her creative vision resulted in increased client loyalty and attracted a new younger client base. All the while, managing a team of designers and contractors, Kat oversaw the design and production of all print publications under tight deadlines from concept to finished production.
A strong believer in the power of design to grow brands and businesses, Kat takes a diverse, unique and forward thinking approach when partnering with clients. Kat is a seasoned professional who has worked for several big companies and clients like Shiseido, Clinique, L’Oreal, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Evite. As an Art Director and Designer, Kat is well versed and adept on a wide range of projects including visual merchandising design, out-of-home advertising, print, branding, packaging to digital design. Kat welcomes the opportunity to partner with clients and is enthusiastic about showing them how branding can transform their business.
